Target group: Teachers who are teaching for the first time in a classroom at WU or who want to refresh their know-how.

Before the semester starts, we offer teachers and other interested parties the opportunity to get to know the room equipment and teaching technology in the seminar rooms and lecture halls at WU. You will receive general information about the various control elements, get tips on how to operate the technical equipment and have the opportunity to try out one or the other device right away.

Contents: 

• Room control (system, projectors)

• Light & sound

• Presenter PC & monitor (SMART Podium ™)

• Desktop & programs

• Use of microphones

• Double projection & settings (Freeze, Black, external sources) 

• Annotation of documents & applications on the podium (PowerPoint, PDF, Browser, etc.)

• Using the digital whiteboard on the podium or the SMART Board (SMART Notebook Software®)

• Lecture Recording & Web Streaming

• Cameras in the classroom

• Use of MS Teams & Zoom in the lecture room

Note: If you are teaching in a seminar room and want to make your lessons more interactive and dynamic, we additionally recommend the introduction "SMART Board | Basics of the Digital Whiteboard", which takes place after the date.
