• ISPs are international short-term programs that are organized by WU or in cooperation with WU

• ISPs are either offered abroad, at WU or online

• ISPs are high-quality academic programs with an international focus, taught by WU lecturers as well as by lecturers from partner/host universities

• ISPs are open to WU students as well as international students

• You can develop your intercultural skills and intercultural competences and broaden your horizon by working in diverse teams

• You get the chance to network with students, lecturers and businesses from different countries

• You will get the chance to enhance your study progress and gain credits during semester breaks

• In most cases, you can fulfil the IBW international experience by successfully completing an ISP abroad

Depending on the program, WU bachelor's and/or WU master's students can participate in an ISP. Detailed information can be found on the respective subpage. 

Bachelor's students can apply for an International Short Program as soon as they have completed courses worth at least 36 ECTS credits (excl. free electives). You can check online if you fulfill the application requirements. This criterion applies to International Short Programs abroad and to Short Programs of WU partner universities with possibility for nomination (see below).

Please note that, depending on your study program, you might be required to take the course "Intercultural Competence / Interkulturelle Kompetenz" (IKK) either before or after participating in an ISP. In your curriculum, you can check whether or not your study program requires you to complete IKK. For more information, please refer to this website.

Please note that the application process for ISPs is slightly different than in previous years. Instead of a motivation letter, students are required to upload an Application Sheet containing answers to specific questions. For details regarding the application process, please refer to this website.
