The Board of the Membership Association of WU Full Professors (“Konvent”) consists of 26 members: Each department is represented by two members so that the interests of the various disciplines are evenly balanced. The only exception is the Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics, which appoints three faculty members to the board. This is to ensure that all three disciplines of this large department are adequately represented.

From among the members of the board, the general assembly of the Membership Association of WU Full Professors elects the board chair and one or more deputies. The chair opens, presides over, and closes all meetings and represents the Membership Association in its external relations.

The Membership Association holds six meetings per year, which form part of a cyclical meeting schedule that covers all the sessions of the university’s main management bodies. The Membership Association meetings are held directly before the meetings of the Full Professors’ Association. If necessary, special ad hoc meetings can be convened at any time.

Every year, the Rector’s Council invites the members of the board to participate in a two-day retreat.
