Worth knowing IT-applications

The Operational Agreement IT, which has been in force since May 2022, provides for all IT applications used at WU that process employees' personal data to be presented in a list of IT applications. This includes IT applications that are offered centrally (e.g. by IT Services) and decentrally (e.g. by a department). This list of IT applications  has now been published in the regulations and forms database (available only in German). Interested employees can find information about all IT applications currently in use at WU in the above sense. For each of these applications, there is a brief description of the application including the purpose of processing, a reference to the application owner, the categories of data processed by the application, any specifically agreed technical and organizational measures (TOMs), whether the data is stored within the EEA, the product manufacturers currently used at WU and any additional regulations that may have been concluded. Should any questions or observations therefore arise in the context of this list, emails can be sent directly to hotline@wu.ac.at (IT Services). Corresponding inquiries can also be addressed to wiss.betriebsrat@wu.ac.at and we will endeavor to clarify them.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you of the billing period for bonuses for examinations in accordance with the Operational Agreement on Performance Bonuses. For the winter semester that is just ending, the necessary examination reports (“Prüfungsprotokolle”) must be prepared by April 30^th, 2024, so that the examination fees can be settled accordingly.
