Paying the registration fee
Why do I have to pay a registration fee?
Your registration fee is used to cover a small part of the expenses that we incur as a result of the selection procedure. The selection procedure was developed to ensure that you only register for a WU bachelor's program if you intend to enroll. If you successfully complete the selection procedure and are admitted to the program, you will receive a welcome voucher worth the monetary value of the registration fee.
How can I pay the registration fee?
You can pay the registration fee by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club), eps online bank transfer, or online banking. You will find the bank details directly in the registration tool (see video below). If you have transferred the amount using online banking, it will take a few days until the payment is deposited into WU's account. You can check your payment status in the registration tool: A green check mark means that we have received your payment.
I have no credit card and no access to eps online transfer services. How can I pay the registration fee?
You can transfer the registration fee using online banking. You will find the bank details directly in the registration tool. If you have transferred the amount using online banking, it will take a few days until the payment is deposited into WU's account. The full amount needs to have been deposited into WU's account by the end of the registration period.
I'm having trouble with making the payment, who should I contact?
Please send an email to aufnahmeverfahren@wu.ac.at. We will do our best to answer as promptly as possible. It's important to us to answer your questions completely and accurately, so we may not be able to respond the same day.

I have accidentally paid the registration fee twice - what should I do?
Nothing. If you have paid the fee twice for the same program (e.g. you paid twice for BBE), we will automatically refund one payment after a few days.
How long will it take for the green check mark to appear after I have made my payment?
If you pay your registration fee using eps online transfer service or by credit card, you will see the green check mark indicating that your payment was successful right away. If you have transferred the amount using online banking, you won't see the green check mark until the payment has been deposited in full into WU's account. Usually, this only takes a few days. The full amount needs to have been deposited into WU's account by the end of the registration period.
I'm interested in more than one bachelor's program at WU. Do I have to pay the registration fee for each program separately?
Yes, you have to pay the registration fee for each program separately, and then complete all the required steps for the selection procedure separately for each program as well.
Registration fee refunds
Is the registration fee refundable under certain circumstances?
