• As part of a master’s degree program, a double degree can be completed in two years. Typically, the first year is spent at WU Vienna and the second year at the partner university.

• To be eligible for the double degree program, you must be admitted to the master’s program in Strategy, Innovation, and Management Control, Marketing, or Business Communication at the time of application.

• An online application for a spot in a double degree program is only possible during the winter semester and within the application period special programs.

• This applies to all special programs, except for the master's double degree program in Business Communication with Tilburg University. Further information is available here.

The following documents are required:

• One letter of motivation for all double degree preferences: This letter should explain your interest in the double degree program at a WU partner university and why you are a strong candidate. It should be in English, with a maximum of 3,200 characters (including spaces), and a file size no larger than 2 MB in PDF format.

• CV: Include details about your education, work experience and internships, international experience, language skills, and other relevant abilities. A photo is optional.

• WU master’s and bachelor’s transcripts: WU transcripts are automatically generated. If you have a bachelor’s degree from another institution, please upload your transcript as a PDF file no larger than 2 MB.

• At the end of the application period, all submitted documents are forwarded to the academic director of your master's program.

• Applicants are ranked by their respective master's program on the basis of special selection criteria. You can find further details on the allocation of an exchange place on this website.

• Interviews will be conducted if necessary.

• Approximately one week after the application period, the International Office will notify you about the results of the selection process via email.

• If you do not receive a double degree spot, you are still eligible to apply for an exchange semester spot.

• After completing your stay abroad, ensure that your transcript is sent to your WU coordinator(s) at the International Office.

• Your final grade will be calculated as weighted average based on the credits earned at the partner university. This does not include the grade and credits for the thesis. The final grade will be included in your WU transcript under "Double Degree Studies."

• You do not need to apply for credit transfer with the Study Service Center. The International Office will handle the entry of your grade into WU’s data system.
