At the start of the semester, we would like to address two teaching-related topics. On the one hand, we would like to remind you of the WUPOL "Regulations for teachers in the event of illness " (unfortunately only available in German; you can also find a summary of the contents on our homepage), which contains information on how to deal with sick leave when teaching is affected. This WUPOL is currently being evaluated, in which we are actively involved as representatives of the teachers. Our main goal is to create a transparent and practicable regulation. As soon as a successor regulation has been finalized, we will report on the result here.

We would also like to promote the Teacher's Lounge. The Teacher's Lounge is located in the TC (room number 1.04; see https://campus.wu.ac.at). The lounge is located on the 1st floor of the Teaching Center and can only be reached via the side staircase (see also BR-Info 5/2024). In recent months, the equipment has been supplemented based on feedback from teachers. In addition to a workstation equipped with a docking station (incl. connected devices), there is now another workstation with a desktop (incl. connected devices). This equipment is intended to make it easier for both in-house staff and external lecturers to work and print in the Teacher's Lounge. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank teachers for their suggestions for improvement and their own initiative!
