Prof. Dr. Eva Eberhartinger

Prof. Dr. Eva Eberhartinger is a full professor of Business Taxation and Chair of the Institute of Accounting and Auditing at WU, Vienna University of Economics and Business. From 2006 until 2011 she was the Vice-Rector of Financial Affairs at WU.

In her research she focuses on the effect of tax on management decisions, in particular in multinational groups. Current projects include the effect of co-operative compliance programs and advanced tax audit on the firm, tax avoidance of state-owned entities, and the effect of public country-by-country reporting on banks’ presence in tax havens. Prior to her position at WU, she was a full professor for Business Taxation at the University of Münster (Germany). She held visiting positions at the University of Exeter (UK), the University of Urbana-Champain (US), HEC Paris (France), McGill University (Canada), HEC Montréal (Canada), the University of Malta and Macquarie University, Sydney (Australia).
