If public transportation isn’t an option, you can compensate for the CO2 emissions resulting from your trip through CO2 offsetting. Public transportation

Vienna’s public transportation network, Wiener Linien, includes subway trains, streetcars, and busses. Campus WU is conveniently located between two stations (Messe-Prater and Krieau) on the subway line U2. The Library & Learning Center at the heart of Campus WU is roughly the same distance from each of these stations (about a 5–10-minute walk).

• The west side of the campus (WU Executive Academy, administration, department buildings 3, 4, and 5, Library & Learning Center) is closer to the U2 station Messe-Prater; take the exit marked “Messe.”  

• The east side of the campus (Teaching Center, Student Center, department buildings 1 and 2, Library & Learning Center) is closer to the U2 station Krieau; take the exit marked “Krieau.”  

You can also get to Campus WU easily using the bus line 82A (Krieau stop) and the streetcar no. 1 (Prater Hauptallee stop).

Bicycle

Good for you if you plan to arrive by bike! While it is not allowed to cycle directly on campus, there are approximately 1000 bicycle parking spaces distributed along the bike path circling the campus.

Citybike stations are located at both U2 stations Messe-Prater and Krieau, and close to the south entrance of Campus WU.
