The Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien) considers it its duty to establish an environment suitable for reconciling family and professional/educational life.

In this concern, it is the EOC’s responsibility to nominate a representative for childcare issues, the latter who is ultimately appointed by the Rector’s Council.

The childcare representative’s duty is to inform and advise the Rector’s Council and university members on matters concerning childcare obligations. In particular, this concerns matters regarding the assessment of the demand and the establishment of childcare facilities and services.
