The number of course participants is to be planned according to the teaching room categories. Overbooking is not possible for fire safety reasons.

In compliance with the generally applicable booking regulations, a classroom at WU can be guaranteed during the course planning phase. However, due to the high number of courses, no specific times and/or specific rooms can be guaranteed.  In the classrooms at the Campus WU, no more hours should be booked than are allocated for the course. In terms of a "fair use principle", everyone should have the opportunity to teach on-campus. Therefore, classrooms should only be booked for those dates that are actually scheduled for face-to-face teaching.

Course units in a different format are to be marked accordingly in the course announcement and communicated in the syllabus at the latest before the start of the semester. For all elements that do not take place on-campus, the framework of the respective course delivery format apply.

Yes, this is possible as long as the decision of the format (also for all course units) is made before the beginning of the semester. Then individual courses can also be held synchronous online or hybrid under "face-to-face".

In case of mixed formats and ambiguity about the best choice of a course delivery format, it is recommended to choose the format that most meets the respective expectations of students, i.e. in case of attendance: If students are expected to attend the course mainly in Vienna/at Campus WU (regardless of attendance requirements), this format should be chosen.

Yes, but all scheduled contact hours/course units must be held synchronously at the announced times and cannot be replaced by recordings/self-study phases. However, recordings and other digital learning materials e.g. can be used to prepare for courses or exams. Digital tools can also be used during courses on-campus, e.g. for short surveys.

WU's central learning management systems, Canvas WU or MyLEARN, as well as the Planet eStream media platform can be used to prepare and implement digital learning materials/activities.
