The decision about the respective course delivery format is to be made in coordination with the program (unit) manager (among others according to the WU By-Laws).

In most cases, this responsibility lies with the program directors of the programs or, at the doctoral level, with area coordinators. The bachelor programs are divided into program units due to their size and complexity:

• Introductory and Orientation Phase, Common Body of Knowledge: Vice-Rector for Academic Programs and Student Affairs

• Bachelor Business Law / Business and Economics program-specific courses: Program directors

• Bachelor Business, Economics, and Social Sciences major-specific courses (except specializations/complementary subjects): Major coordinators

• Specializations/Complementary Subjects: Specialization coordinators

He/she determines the pedagogical profile of the program/program unit and coordinates all courses. For courses without program affiliation (enrichment courses), the Vice-Rector for Academic Programs and Student Affairs continues to be responsible.

During the course announcement process, the program (unit) manager sets the last "checkmark" in the approval process, after the superiors (head of the academic unit and department chair). The decision on the respective course delivery format thus lies with the program (unit) manager.

The delivery format of the course is determined at the course level during the course announcement process before the start of the semester. The course delivery format (of the course as well as the individual units) may not be changed after the start of the semester for reasons of study law, except in defined exceptional cases. In these cases, students may also withdraw from the course without any consequences.

Depending on the format of the course and the way the exams are held, additional information may be required in the course announcement in order to present this correctly and to provide the best possible infrastructure. Details will follow in due time on the course announcement web pages before the start in March 2022.

The booking rules via ROOMS (update for 2023/24 follows) apply to courses and exams, which are not organized in the exam week.

In the classrooms at the Campus WU, no more hours should be booked than those allocated for the course. In the sense of a "fair use principle", everyone should have the opportunity to teach face-to-face. Therefore, classrooms should only be booked for those dates that are actually scheduled for face-to-face teaching.
