Thank you for your feedback and your participation in the WU Open Day 2025!

From all completed feedback questionnaires, we will draw three winners, who will be announced by April 15, 2025. Each of the three winners will each receive a Stanley Cup.

Terms and conditions for the prize draw

The prize draw is open to anyone aged 18 or over who has completed and submitted the form above by midnight (CET) on April 15, 2025. Participation is completely free of charge. Multiple entries will be counted as one entry and will not increase the respective participant’s chance of winning.

WU employees and their relatives are excluded from the prize draw. It is not permitted to participate with fake identities or identities of third parties. WU can to exclude individuals from participation if there are justified reasons, such as violations of the terms and conditions, (attempted) manipulation, etc. If a winning participant is excluded from the prize draw on these grounds, prizes may be revoked or reclaimed.

By clicking “Submit feedback and participate in the prize draw” you agree to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data (first name/last name/email). The personal data you provide in the form are required for determining the winners and for contacting you if you win a prize, and they are also used for the organization and implementation of the prize draw (pursuant to Article 6 [1] item b of the GDPR). The prizes (one WU hoodie each for a total of three winners*) will be raffled off among all participants*. The logged time of the submission counts as the time of participation. Any submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.

Within one week after the end of the contest, three winners will be drawn at random and notified by email to the email address provided. The prizes will then be sent to the winners by postal mail. If a winner does not contact us within five days, the respective prize will be redrawn. The participant is responsible for the accuracy of the contact details provided.

WU reserves the right to cancel or terminate the prize draw at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons in the event that a proper implementation of the prize draw cannot be guaranteed for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, manipulation or errors in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons.

The prizes are not redeemable for cash.

No liability can be assumed for the information provided. Legal recourse is excluded.

Data Protection Statement

Personal data

Personal data that you provide to WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) (e.g. name, postal address, email address, or other personal information) will only be used for the specified purpose, kept secure, and not disclosed to any third parties, unless otherwise required by law.

WU also processes the data for public relations purposes and for its own marketing purposes, in particular to inform you about WU’s offerings. The legal basis for these data processing activities are legitimate interests of WU (Art. 6 [1] item f of the GDPR). You can object to the processing of your data for these purposes at any time. Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is permitted under the applicable data protection laws, in particular if this is necessary for the organization of the prize draw or for other legal reasons.

Right to withdraw consent

You have the right to withdraw any consent you have given at any time. If you withdraw your consent, your data will be deleted immediately and will no longer be processed in any other way. In the respective areas where you have signed up for a mailing list, an entry in a database, or a newsletter, you can also find the email addresses you can contact to withdraw your consent or unsubscribe.

Usage Data

When accessing the WU website or WU content provided under the domain name “wu.ac.at,” WU Vienna creates so-called cookies on the end user device used. Cookies are small units of data that are created on the visitor’s device solely for the purpose of adapting the display of the accessed website to the respective end user device.

Cookies can be deactivated in the respective browser settings, although in some cases this may result in a limited user experience on the WU website.

When you access WU web pages, WU will store the following data on its servers: 

• The IP address from where you are accessing the site

• Access date and time

• Access method (e.g. GET)

• Accessed URL

• Access protocol used (e.g. HTTP/1.1)

• HTTP response status code

• File size

• Referring page (referrer URL)

• Operating system and browser type (user agent)

Analyses of the collected data

The stored data are analyzed for the following purposes:

• Creation of anonymized usage statistics

• Operative website administration

• Improvement of website usability

• Monitoring the use of the website and ensuring its performance

• Improving the quality of the web presence

• Ensuring proper operation

• Enforcement of the applicable terms of use

These processing activities do not include any person-specific analyses.

All texts on the WU website have been carefully checked. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and currency of the information provided. Any liability on the part of WU is therefore excluded. Links to other websites have been selected with great care. However, WU has no control over the contents of such websites and therefore cannot assume any liability for them.

All submissions where the “Newsletter” button has been activated will receive a confirmation email with an activation link within two weeks. Please confirm this link to receive the WU Newsletter on a regular basis (no more than one newsletter per month).
