In master’s programs, the thesis accounts for 20 of your total ECTS credits. This is roughly equivalent to 500 hours or 55 working days. Students should select a topic that can be completed within a period of 6 months.

FAQs

I have created a PDF/A. Why does the upload still not work?

The PDF/A file can only be created with the following tools:

If you have used a different tool for conversion, select one of the tools listed above and create the PDF/A file again. Further information on converting to a PDF/A file can be found in this guide. If the upload does not work even when using the tools listed above, please contact studentsupport@wu.ac.at.

Where do I find the cover sheet with the affidavit?

When submitting the thesis in Thesis Management in myWU, the affidavit must be confirmed directly upon submission. A cover sheet with an affidavit is therefore not necessary.

I have logged into Thesis Management but cannot see my thesis. What can be the reason for this?

The submission of a thesis is only possible if a supervision agreement has been created by the supervisor in the BACH supervision database. If you don´t see an entry in Thesis Management, no entry has been created for you yet. Please contact your supervisor and ask them to enter your thesis. As soon as your supervisor has entered the supervision agreement in the BACH supervision database, you can submit your thesis.
