Clarivate Analytics has published the list of "Highly Cited Researchers 2019". Accordingly, 6,216 people make up the top one percent of the most cited researchers. Of these, 44 are at least partially active in Austria.

Stephan Lutter from the research group „Global Resource Use“ at the Institute for Ecological Economics is the only researcher from WU Vienna to be found in the list. He is listed under the research field “Cross-Field”, which includes researchers having influence on various scientific areas.

For the analysis, the data group used scientific papers that were published and cited in the period from 2008 to 2018. "Highly Cited Researcher 2019" means all those researchers who rank highest in their scientific field in the survey year. Check out the complete list and exact methodology at hcr.clarivate.com.
