Textbook Collection

Legal textbook collection now available in the Library for Law

Behind the scenes of WU Library, we are also busy during the summer months. Over the past few weeks, we have moved the law section of the textbook collection from the Central Library to the Library for Law.

  • New location: Law textbooks are available for WU students next to the front desk of the Library for Law.

  • Borrowing: WU students can borrow these textbooks for 6 weeks and, if there is no other reservation, extend the loan.

  • Picking up books on hold: There is now also a self-service holding shelf in the Library for Law.

  • Returns: You can return legal textbooks to the Library for Law or use the self-service book return machine at the Central Library.

We look forward to welcoming you to the legal textbook collection of the Library for Law!

The textbook collection contains multiple copies of introductory works.

A large proportion of the printed textbooks are located in the Central Library on level 3. Law textbooks are available in the Library for Law next to the front desk.

In addition, many of the textbooks are also accessible as eBooks.

To search for textbooks, please use the Textbook Collection Catalog.

WU students can borrow these textbooks for 6 weeks and, if there is no other reservation, extend the loan up to a maximum of 24 weeks. If all copies are borrowed you can also place a hold on the book.

Please note that as a general rule, the WU University Library does not collect lecture notes. On the WU campus, lecture notes can be purchased for instance at the ÖH Bücherbörse Book Exchange and the Management Book Service (MBS) store.
