Textbook Collection

Textbook Collection for Law Relocates This Summer

This summer, the law section of the textbook collection will move from the Central Library to the Library for Law.

  • New location: Starting August 19, 2024, law textbooks will be available for WU students next to the front desk of the Library for Law.

  • Borrowing: You will continue to be able to borrow these textbooks for 6 weeks and, if there is no other reservation, extend your loan.

  • Returns: Beginning August 19, 2024, you can return legal textbooks to the Library for Law or use the self-service book return machine at the Central Library.

If you need textbooks during the summer, please note the summer closing times of both the Central Library and the Library for Law.

We look forward to welcoming you to the legal textbook collection of the Library for Law from August 19, 2024.

The textbook collection contains multiple copies of introductory works. The collection is located on level 3 in the Central Library and is freely accessible.

To search for textbooks, please use the Textbook Collection Catalog. You can also find selected basic literature on our pages on basic literature for beginning students.

Only WU students are eligible to borrow works from the textbook collection. A maximum of 5 books can be borrowed at a time. The loan period is 6 weeks.

Please note that as a general rule, the WU University Library does not collect lecture notes. On the WU campus, lecture notes can be purchased for instance at the ÖH Bücherbörse Book Exchange and the Management Book Service (MBS) store.
