Dianne H.B. Welsh, „Hayes Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and Founding Director of the Entrepreneurship Program at The University of North Carolina Greensboro”, ist derzeit Inhaberin des “Fulbright-Hall-Distinguished Chair for Entrepreneurship in Central Europe” am WU-Department für Entrepreneurship und Innovation. Am 25. Juni hält sie auf Einladung der amerikanischen Botschaft, der österreichischen Fulbright Kommission und der österreichischen Universitätenkonferenz einen Workshop zum Thema „The Future of Higher Education in the 21st Century”.

Bereits seit dem Studienjahr 2009/10 ist der Fulbright-Kathryn und Craig Hall Chair am Department für Entrepreneurship und Innovation der WU verankert. Geschaffen wurde der Lehrstuhl („Fulbright-Hall-Distinguished Chair for Entrepreneurship in Central Europe“), um ein breites Spektrum an Themen in Zusammenhang mit Entrepreneurship zu behandeln. Im Sommersemester 2015 ist Dianne H.B. Welsh an der WU zu Gast und lehrt hier zu „Global Entrepreneurship“. Am 25. Juni hält sie einen Workshop über „The Future of Higher Education in the 21st Century: free pathways, creative-cross-disciplinary programs and online resources”.

Über Dianne H.B. Welsh

Dianne H.B. Welsh ist „Hayes Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and Founding Director of the Entrepreneurship Program at The University of North Carolina Greensboro”. Zuvor gründete sie zwei Entrepreneurship-Programme und -Zentren und hatte drei Stiftungsprofessuren inne. Welsh ist eine anerkannte Lehrende auf dem Gebiet Familienunternehmen, internationales Unternehmertum und von Frauen gegründete Unternehmen und hat sieben Bücher und über 150 Publikationen verfasst. Sie ist Vorsitzende der „Technology and Innovation Management Division of the Academy of Management“ mit 2.700 Mitgliedern und war Präsidentin der „US Association for Small Business & Entrepreneurship“ und des „Small Business Institute“. Welsh ist Mitglied des „Family Firm Institute” sowie der „US Association of Small Business & Entrepreneurship”. Sie diente als Beauftragte des Präsidenten in der „US Air Force Academy“ und dem „Defense Advisory Committee for Women in the Services” (DACOWITS). Derzeit ist Dianne H.B. Welsh die Inhaberin des Fulbright-Hall Distinguished Chair für Entrepreneurship in Mitteleuropa an der WU.
