Graduates monitoring project

By means of monitoring its alumni through the graduate tracking project (ATRACK), WU wants to learn more about its students and their labor market integration. The project is being carried out by WU's Program Management and Teaching & Learning Support together with Statistics Austria.

ATRACK is based on complete register data of all graduates and dropouts, collected by Statistics Austria, which includes the basic registers of the census. Graduate tracking is being carried out together with other consortium partners, under the leadership of the University of Vienna.

A large amount of labor market-relevant information is available to WU graduates with a high degree of accuracy. With this data basis, it is possible to find out more about the success of WU graduates on the labor market.

Analyses and fact sheets are not limited to the aggregated level of all WU graduates but can (given sufficient data) be carried out at the program level, i.e. at the level of the individual bachelor's and master's programs. The graduate tracking provides a wide range of insights, for example on forms of employment, the time it takes to start a career and the income of WU graduates or the economic sectors in which they work.
