Title: Survival. Rights of Nature, Degrowth and Ecological Masculinities at the end of Anthropocene.

Abstract: A fossil fuel monster has heated the planet and is blocking the transformative action needed to stop the Earth from tipping into a state of Omnicide. The monster, theorized as primary (vested interest denial), secondary (ideological ecomodernism)  and tertiary (infrastructural identities) climate obstruction is rooted in a long history of colonial fossil fueled hetero-patriarchal domination of our planet. In this talk, based upon a forthcoming book, Martin outlines the theory of fossil fuel monstrous climate obstruction and proposes the lever of Rights of Nature, Degrowth and Ecological masculinities as transformative interventions to do away with blockages.
