At the „Af­ter­noon Tea Chat“ Prof. Whited ans­we­red ju­ni­or fe­ma­le scholar's ques­ti­ons and gave many in­te­res­ting in­sights into her aca­de­mic ca­re­er.

She dis­cus­sed how she had to deal with chal­len­ges in her field and how she suc­cess­ful­ly tran­si­tio­ned from eco­no­mics to fi­nan­ce. She par­ti­cu­lar­ly ad­dres­sed ques­ti­ons about her ca­re­er as a woman in aca­de­mia. Prof. Whited also tal­ked about her ex­pe­ri­ence as an edi­tor and gave tips on how to pu­blish in lea­ding jour­nals.
