This is an introductory workshop on business models and business modeling. It provides a comprehensive understanding of what entrepreneurship is, what makes entrepreneurs unique, and how to kick-start a startup using proven methodologies. Participants will explore the essentials of creating value, designing early-stage business models, and validating ideas with real customers through practical tools like the Lean Canvas.

Trainer

Dr. Rudolf Dömötör is the Director of the WU Entrepreneurship Center and the ECN (Entrepreneurship Center Network), a joint initiative of 35 Austrian universities promoting interdisciplinary entrepreneurship among students and faculty. He is co-founder of Entrepreneurship Avenue, Europe’s largest student-focused entrepreneurship event series, and co-author of the Austrian Startup Monitor, the country’s most comprehensive startup study. With extensive experience in the Austrian startup ecosystem, Dr. Dömötör has been a member of the Startup Council of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economic Affairs since 2022. He holds degrees in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the University of Technology Sydney, and he has completed research stays at George Washington University (USA) and the University of Canterbury (New Zealand).
