The annual conference of the Sektion Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik [Division for Vocational and Business Education] took place at TU Dresden from September 16 - 18, 2024. Under the motto "50 years of future: paradigms, positions and perspectives of vocational and business education", the participants not only looked back on the past five decades, but also discussed forward-looking questions for the discipline.

Christiane Schopf and Stefanie Wiklicky-Leitner particpated with interesting contributions: Stefanie Wiklicky-Leitner took part in the Young Researcher Forum and presented her dissertation project "Education for sustainable Development in Business Education". Christiane Schopf presented the results of her most current survey among high school students at Handelsakademien in Vienna with the topic of "ChatGPT & Co - AI use by high school students at intermediate and higher-level vocational schools".

A special highlight of the conference - in addition to the exchange with colleagues - was the vocational and business education science slam, which with a mixture of amazement, laughter and exciting content provided the best entertainment.
