Prunksaal ÖNB

Visit the Austrian National Library

We will visit the baroque State Hall of the Austrian National Library and will get a guided tour by librarians.

This impressive baroque library hall, with his 30 metre-high oval dome and the magnificent dome fresco by Daniel Gran was build in the 18th century ordered by the Emperor Charles VI. With its historical holdings, the Austrian National Library is one of the most important libraries in the world. Worthy of particular mention here is the library of Prince Eugene in the middle oval, containing 15,000 volumes bound in red, blue and yellow Morocco leather.

Well will pick you up at the hotel lobbies and travel together by public transport in smaller groups to the National Library.

After the visit of the Austrian National Library we will move to the opposite building, the Pallais Pallavicini, where we will have the conference dinner.

Our gala dinner will be in the Palais Pallavicini right in the heart of Vienna. Located prominently between the Imperial Palace and the Spanish Riding School, this architectural jewel combines baroque splendor and elegant classicism. Grand celebrations have long been a tradition in the Great Ballroom. Emperors and Kings have feasted in this room, and previous guests include Mozart and Beethoven.
