Global Executive MBA Moves Up to Rank 12 worldwide

22/07/2024

In yet another year-on-year improvement, WU’s Global Executive MBA was ranked 12th in this year’s QS Executive MBA Ranking.

Every summer, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the leading global career and education network, publishes its Executive MBA Ranking, which has been one of the most important MBA rankings worldwide for many years. The number of participating business schools is impressive: this year, no fewer than 222 Executive MBA programs from 48 countries took part in the ranking.

#12 Worldwide in “Joint Programs”

[Translate to English:] QS MBA

In addition to rankings for individual geographical regions (North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific), there are also two rankings on a global level: the “Global” ranking and the “Joint Programs” ranking, which assesses MBA programs offered jointly by at least two different business schools.

QS has good reasons not to compare joint programs with stand-alone programs because they are simply different: they are more international, particularly regarding study content, faculty, and potential study visits. In increasingly globalized times, they provide the very topics and experiences needed.

World Leader in Career, and Diversity

The QS Executive MBA Ranking assesses programs based on the five main categories of “Thought Leadership,” “Career Outcomes,” “Executive Profiles,” and “Diversity,” which are further divided into nine subcategories. Barbara Stöttinger, Dean of the WU Executive Academy, points out that the Global Executive MBA fared particularly well in the categories most important to students: "The Global Executive MBA achieves top results in the areas of career development ("Graduates Promoted" - 97.5 out of 100), "Average Work Experience" - experience as an executive (80.8 out of 100) and "Nationalities" (82.4 out of 100), i.e. how many different nationalities are represented in the class."
