Elsevier and the University of Stanford have created a publicly available database of top-cited scientists worldwide that measures researchers’ career-long impact and single-year impact for the year 2023. To be included, researchers must either be among the top 100,000 scientists worldwide based on their composite citation score or fall within the top 2% percentile of their respective sub-field.

Out of WU Vienna’s faculty, 14 researchers are listed in the full-career and 17 in the single-year impact rankings, recognizing their position as leading scientists in their respective fields and confirming WU’s strong international profile as a research university.
