On Friday 18th January 2013 the WU Global Tax Policy Center at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law hosted the third in the new series of tax policy discussions between Prof. Jeffrey Owens and leading players in the field of tax policy. The "Tax Policy Fire Side Chats" focus on issues which are currently preoccupying governments, business and civil society and enable a wide audience to participate in these policy debates.
Dr Vieri Ceriani, State Secretary to the Treasury, Italy, was our guest speaker with Jeffrey. Vieri has lead a distinguished career in the public sector, as well as contributing to the international debate on tax reform at the OECD, EU and G8. The debate entitled "Promoting Growth Friendly Tax Policies in the EU and Beyond" focused on how to design a tax system which encourages entrepreneurship, innovation and one which leads to sustainable and inclusive growth.
