As a teaching and research associate you will be expected to be involved in research, teaching and self-administration at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law.

• Under the guidance of Professors you will be expected to develop your research skills. You will be expected to work on several research projects and then choose your research topics in the area of international, European or corporate tax law. You will be expected to assist Professors with their ongoing publications as well as writing joint and independent publications.

• Writing your own Dissertation is an integral part of your scope of work as a research associate.

• From the start, you will be involved in teaching step by step. Furthermore, you will gain experience in giving presentations in the frame of international research projects and corporate partners.  Teaching will be both in English and German for Austrian and International students and practitioners.

• In research project management of the Institute you will work as an interface between research and administration, assist with conferences and the lecturing program. You will be actively involved in acquiring research projects and in the management of scientific projects in your field of research.

Job offers for a position as international teaching and research associate are regularly advertised two times per year: early May, early September, and additionally on demand.

• As a Doctoral Program in International Business Taxation (DIBT) Collegiate at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, you will write a monograph doctoral thesis in your discipline while also being involved in intensive interdisciplinary research during your stay in Vienna.

• Under the guidance of the Faculty of renowned scholars, you will conduct high-quality interdisciplinary research in the field of international taxation, including and combining the disciplines of public finance, international tax law and cross border tax management.

• As a DIBT Law collegiate, you will be involved in the areas of teaching, research and research management.

• DIBT graduates have gone on to start promising careers, many of them securing positions in academia, others at national and international research centers, multinational organizations, or in the private sector.
