The Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) and the Fiscal Institute Tilburg, Tilburg University are proud to invite you to the conference “Tax Treaty Case Law Around The Globe”.

This conference aims at presenting and discussing the most interesting tax treaty cases from around the world which were decided in 2024. Outstanding experts from 24 jurisdictions have agreed to present the most relevant decisions taken in their countries.

This two-day conference provides a worldwide update on what’s going on in tax treaty case law. Insight into the international trends is essential not only for academics but also for practitioners advising clients in a global economic environment on cross-border transactions, as well as for the tax experts of multinationals who deal with taxation of cross-border goods and services on a daily basis.

The conference will start with a welcome reception on the evening of May 7, 2025 at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, WU. The working sessions will be held all day on May 8 and 9, 2025 in Ceremonial hall 1, LC Building on the WU campus. On the evening of May 8, 2025 the Mayor of Vienna invites all attendees to a Typical Viennese Heurigen Dinner.
