Jesús Crespo Cuaresma elected member of the Academia Europaea

Jesús Crespo Cuaresma, head of the Institute for Macroeconomics and deputy department chair of the Department of Economics, has been elected a member of the Academia Europaea.

The Academia Europaea is a Pan-European Academy of Sciences, Humanities and Letters. Its members are scientists and scholars from across Europe who collectively aim to promote learning, education and research. The members are nominated once a year by a commission of experts and elected by the Council of the Academia. 

Founded in 1988, the Academy has more than 4500 members including 70 nobel laureats and leading experts from a wide range of disciplines.
