You can apply for a master’s program before completing your bachelor’s program under the following conditions:

• You must have successfully completed at least 150 ECTS credits

• You must be in the last semester of your program

• You must present proof of successful completion of the program at the time of admission (original notification of conferral of your degree, list of grades).

  
  Please note that we cannot accept any preliminary confirmations of degree completion.

You can apply for several German-taught master’s programs simultaneously. In this case, however, you have to submit all your applications at the same time and rank them by preference. Please choose the order of your applications carefully because you won’t be able to change it afterwards.
The applications will be processed in the order in which you submit them. As soon as one of your applications is accepted, your lower preferences will not be considered anymore.

To apply, please use the online application tool. Please complete the application and enter all the required information. Upload the documents listed below as PDF files (maximum of 2 MB per upload):

• Passport

• Official transcript, stamped and signed or has to bear a verifiable digital signature by your university: Proof of all completed exams including the ECTS credits/credit hours earned

• If you haven’t completed your previous degree program yet:

  • Official confirmation from your university (stamped and signed or has to bear a verifiable digital signature by your university) indicating the courses you still need to complete. The confirmation must include information on ECTS credits or weekly credit hours. If you’re about to complete a WU degree program, no confirmation is required.

• Confirmation from your university (stamped and signed or has to bear a verifiable digital signature by your university) indicating the legally prescribed duration and the overall Workload of your degree program, total number of ECTS credits/credits or weekly credit hours. If you’re about to complete a WU degree program, no confirmation is required.

• Official notification of conferral of your degree

• Degree certificate/degree examination certificate, if you’ve already completed a previous degree program

• Diploma Supplement (if available)

• Proof of German skills

• In case of a change of name: official notification/certificate (e.g. marriage certificate, official notification of change of name)

Please note that we can only accept applications submitted via the online application tool. Please make sure that the uploaded files are legible before you submit your application. You will be notified of the results by email. Please keep in mind that the evaluation of your application will take a couple of weeks due to the high number of applications we receive.
