Step 1: Requirements

To be admitted to the Master’s Program in Finance and Accounting, you must have completed a relevant degree program at a recognized postsecondary educational institution. Prerequisites for the Master’s Program include:

  • The program must comprise at least 180 ECTS credits (corresponding to three academic years).

  • 48 ECTS credits must have been earned by completing exams in the field of business administration/economics.

  • Of these 48 ECTS credits, at least 32 ECTS credits must have been earned in the field of finance/accounting.

  • 4 ECTS credits must have been earned in the field of mathematics/statistics.

The following specializations offered as part of WU’s bachelor’s programs belong to the field of finance and accounting:

  • Specialization in Accounting

  • Specialization in Finance

  • Specialization in Finance: Markets, Institutions & Instruments

  • Specialization in Operations Research

  • Specialization in Management and Controlling

  • Specialization in Accounting & Taxation

  • Specialization in International Accounting & Controlling

  • From the Cross-functional Management program:

    • International Financial Management I

    • International Financial Management II

    • International Accounting I (elective block)

    • International Accounting II (elective block)
