• Please fill out the BAWISO/BAWIRE WU graduate survey respectively BBE-WU graduate survey and make a screenshot as confirmation that you have completed it. Bring the proof of completion of the survey with you when you come to pick up your graduation documents

• Please pay any open library fees BEFORE picking up your graduation documents.

• A hardbound copy of your master’s thesis. The Examinations Office will submit this copy to the WU University Library. Please note the information & requirements for submitting your master's thesis.

• Please fill out the WU graduate survey and make a screenshot as confirmation that you have completed it. Bring the proof of completion of the survey with you when you come to pick up your graduation documents

• Please pay any open library fees BEFORE picking up your graduation documents

Before collecting the graduation documents, please send the abstracts of your dissertation to the library by e-mail (subject: Dissertation Abstract. Please include your name, title of the dissertation and names of the supervisors)

• Two bound copies (hardcover) of the dissertation. These copies will be forwarded to the WU University Library and the National Library.

The Diploma Supplement is a bilingual document (German and English) issued to all WU graduates at graduation in addition to their degree certificate. The Diploma Supplement is issued automatically and free of charge.

The Diploma Supplement facilitates academic and professional recognition of European degrees, thus increasing the transparency of qualifications, and it provides information about the duration and contents of the degree program and about the academic and professional skills acquired by the graduate. In a globalized society and economy, the Diploma Supplement provides an internationally comparable description of the degree program, and encourages mobility, access to education, and life-long learning.

The Diploma Supplement is not a substitute for the original qualification, for a transcript, or for a CV, and it does not guarantee recognition of a degree.

The Diploma Supplement has been available to all graduates of WU Vienna University of Economics and Business since 2006.

In the event of loss or theft of your graduation documents (notification of conferral of an academic degree, degree certificate, diploma supplement), the Examinations Office/ Doctoral Office will issue duplicates of these items free of charge.

Please complete the application for a duplicate copy in full and send it together with a report of theft or loss by email to the Examinations office or Doctoral Office.

Please note that the report of loss must have been issued either by the municipal authorities or the police. Duplicates can only be issued for documents specifically named in the report.

It can take up to four weeks for the replacement documents to be issued. You will be notified by email when your documents are available for pick-up. You can pick up the documents during opening hours - by appointment - at the Study Service Center.

Graduating under the auspices of the federal president is possible if you

• have passed the upper classes of secondary school with honors

• have passed the school-leaving examination with honors

• have received the best grade in all subjects of your university studies and in the viva voce of your doctoral studies

• have written a dissertation that has been evaluated with the grade exellent by your assessors

• have completed your studies within the average duration of studies, unless there are good reasons why you have taken longer (for example illness), and

• your behaviour at university and outside has been exceptional.
