ACCESS Dementia 2023

In 2022, the Competence Center for Nonprofit Organizations and Social Entrepreneurship received funding for the first time from the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMSGPK) to translate the content developed in the EU project INDEED on innovation in dementia care in the Danube region into German and make it permanently accessible on a new platform in German, English, Bulgarian, Romanian, Slovak and Slovenian. The content in German and English has also been made barrier-free. In addition, a page in plain language summarizes the content and is supplemented by a video in Austrian sign language. The site www.access-dementia.eu went online in January 2023.

For 2023, the Competence Center for Nonprofit Organizations and Social Entrepreneurship was once again granted funding to further develop the ACCESS Dementia platform.

The main goals for the new funding year are:

  • Target group sharpening and quality assurance of the German-language content.

  • Implementation of barrier-free accessibility of the content in Bulgarian, Romanian, Slovakian and Slovenian

  • Further development and quality assurance of the content in Bulgarian, Romanian, Slovakian and Slovenian

This year, as in the previous year, the Competence Center for Nonprofit Organizations and Social Entrepreneurship is cooperating with the Center for Cognitive Disorders of the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich. In addition, project partners from Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, who were already partners in the EU project INDEED, will be involved in 2023. Experts from the Austrian dementia care sector will also be involved in the project.
