Stefan Vamosi successfully defended his dissertation "A Deep Recurrent Neural Network Approach to Learn Sequence Similarities for User-identification and Behavioral Market Segmentation". In his work, Stefan shows how AI-based models can help to find similarities in sequential data sets. He demonstrates the model's performance on web-browsing and purchasing data and he shows, that such a re-identification approach raises the bar for privacy protection measures on behavioral data. He also demonstrates, that the model serves as an excellent dynamic customer segmentation tool for purchasing data.
