iGo Workshop in Hongkong

The Institute of Information Management and Control and the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong have jointly organized a workshop on 22 May 2013. The one-day event, themed Knowledge Management across Borders: A Chinese/Austrian Perspective, featured recent research findings about global knowledge management in organisations and practices of Austrian/European subsidiaries in Hong Kong and mainland China. The workshop included Knowledge Management enablers, processes and performance in a global and cross-cultural context. An open discussion with practitioners and researchers allowed the exploration of current problems and strategies of Austrian/European subsidiaries in Hong Kong and China.

Mr Christian H. Schierer, Regional Austrian Trade Commissioner for Hong Kong, Macao and South China, opened the second part of the workshop and talked about strategies and challenges of knowledge management in China.
