Stefan Giljum and Stephan Lutter presented at World Resources Forum 2023

Last week, the World Resources Forum 2023 took place in Geneva as a hybrid conference with the title “Rethinking Value - Resources for Planetary Wellbeing”.

More than 500 participants discussed options for a future where global resource use is sustainable and becomes a driver for planetary wellbeing.

Two colleagues from the Institute for Ecological Economics gave presentations in scientific sessions.

Stefan Giljum presented ongoing research on assessing the international drivers of deforestation caused by the expansion of mining areas. The presentation is available for download.

Stephan Lutter provided an overview of the online tool “SCP-HAT”, which he developed in cooperation with international colleagues. The presentation can also be downloaded.
