Strong Tradition in Subject-specific Methodology

The Institute for Business Education at WU Wien can look back on a long tradition of subject-specific know-how. This is reflected not only in the strong emphasis on subject-specific methodology in the BE master's program and the diverse subject-specific oriented methodology research projects, but also in a high level of commitment to the development of subject-specific methodology work and materials in university and school settings.

This commitment is particularly self-evident with regard to the creation of textbooks. Many of the institute's team members are well-established textbook authors for BMHS in the subjects of business administration, accounting, economics and business informatics.

The Convention for Didactics of Business Education, with the opportunity to present subject-specific teaching concepts, is also testament to importance of subject-specific (teaching) methodology at the Institute for Business Education at WU Wien.
