AI systems and applications have become ubiquitous and are found in all areas of society today. WU welcomes the potential that AI offers for the university’s work in the fields of research, teaching, and administration, but it is also aware of the risks, obstacles, and threats associated with these technologies. To ensure that the WU community uses the new technologies safely and with confidence, WU set up a working group in 2023 to develop university-wide AI principles and provide WU’s employees with guidelines for the use of AI applications in their day-to-day work.
