OeAD GmbH (Österreichischer Austauschdienst) is Austria’s central service center for European and international mobility and cooperation programs in the fields of education, science, and research. For over 50 years, OeAD has worked together with students, researchers, and lecturers, as well as those involved in primary, secondary, vocational, adult, and higher education. The Austrian Federal Government is the OeAD’s sole shareholder. Austria’s universities have one representative on the supervisory board, who is nominated by Universities Austria (uniko). Since this year, this position is filled by WU Rector Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger.
