Experttalk and get-together with HOFER

The last event in the Praxisdialog Handel & Marketing in the summer semester 2022 took place this week together with HOFER. Markus Chaloupka, Managing Director of the HOFER branch in Trumau, and Karin Viechtbaur, Managing Director of the HOFER branch in Stockerau, gave an insight into the "Digital Transformation" at HOFER. The company, which manages 530 shops in Austria with six branches and 12,000 employees, defines value for money (the much-cited "HOFER price"), the efficient shopping experience, careful selection and freshness as key success factors in competition. Together with the students, the changes in customer needs, the importance of sustainability in discounting and the question of how much digitalisation retail needs were discussed.

Afterwards, we were able to end the semester informally with drinks and snacks sponsored by HOFER.
