ECR has been the cooperation platform for industry and retail for more than 25 years. Since the beginning there has been a close cooperation with our institute through the ECR Academic Partnership. It was therefore a special pleasure for us to welcome Teresa Mischek-Moritz, Managing Director of ECR Austria, as guest speaker in our guest lecture series “Praxisdialog” this week. As part of the international ECR network, ECR Austria has succeeded in past projects and working groups in unifying supply and demand side standards and defining guidelines on how processes can be made more efficient. The final goal of ECR is to reduce costs and enrich value for consumers. It is not only important for our students to know the history of ECR, its goals and initiatives, but above all to learn about the issues and trends that are currently affecting companies and will do so in the future.
