Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad

The award, started in 2003, was founded by the Chinese Government with the purpose of rewarding the academic excellence of Chinese students who study overseas and are not financed by Chinese government. Only those with outstanding performance in their PhD studies will be considered by the award panel, and no more than 500 young talents worldwide are granted the award each year. This year, only 2 outstanding Chinese students in Austria were selected for this incredibly prestigious award.
