What is a database?

Here’s what forms of databases you’ll come across:

• In literature databases you can find information on which articles have been published in which journals. Often you can also download the PDFs of the articles in the database or have a button with which you can check whether the article is available via the WU Library.

• Another type of databases are those in which you can find data, key figures or analyses. This can be financial data, statistical data, market data, SWOT or PESTLE analyses and much more.

Which database fits for me?

Which database is best suited to your purposes depends on your specialist area. Further: Do you need scientific literature, industry information, statistical data?

Tip: When selecting the language, note that the majority of articles in literature databases are available in English.
