The Business Case Challenge 2025 – Innovation Begins in the Classroom

The Business Case Challenge is a unique platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking. Once again this year, students can choose from three exciting cases provided by leading Austrian companies:

Austrian Airlines, OMV, and Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien AG.

Each case presents a real-world business challenge that requires thoughtful and innovative solutions.

What is the Business Case Challenge?

The Challenge is a competition that invites students to develop their own solutions to real economic and business problems.

Each of the three cases includes a clearly defined challenge, accompanied by a detailed description and a supporting worksheet with:

• Comprehension questions

• Practical examples

• Discussion prompts

These materials help students engage deeply with their chosen case.

In addition, several digital coaching sessions are offered by experts from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), providing valuable insights and practical tips for solving and presenting the cases.
