How do boards of di­rec­tors go­vern stra­te­gic chan­ge?

A new in­ter­di­sci­pli­na­ry and sys­te­ma­tic re­view by Prof. Klar­ner, Qiwen Yu, Toru Yo­shi­ka­wa (both Sin­ga­po­re Ma­nage­ment Uni­ver­si­ty) and Mike Hitt (Texas A&M Uni­ver­si­ty) syn­the­si­zes cor­po­ra­te go­ver­nan­ce re­se­arch over the past 40 years and in­tro­du­ces a novel per­spec­ti­ve on go­ver­ning chan­ge port­fo­li­os. The frame­work and li­te­ra­tu­re over­view serve as ana­ly­ti­cal tools to ex­ami­ne whe­ther boards are well-​designed and pre­pa­red to go­vern mul­ti­ple and in­ter­re­la­ted stra­te­gic chan­ges.
