Rainer Baier: Staff Mobility for Teaching at Luiss University in Rome, Italy

Location: Starting on 04 March 2025 at 12:30

In February 2025, Prof. Blerina Sinaimeri, in her function as Director of the Graduate Program Data Science and Management, invited me to teach in her academic program at Luiss University ...

...  (Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali) in Rome.

In two input sessions I taught the main topic "Data-Driven Decision-Making with Business Intelligence Tools". At the end of my stay, we organized a Business Intelligence Challenge, in which the students had to solve tasks independently, in order to achieve bonus points.

I found the classes with the students very intensive and enriching, as the students had a high level of professional and social competence. I received very good support from the professors responsible for preparing and teaching the course.

The commitment and friendliness of the colleagues and students made my stay in Rome a great experience. In addition, the campus of Luiss University is very unique, as it is housed in a former monastery.

Thank you to the WU International Office team, especially Catalina Moragues Costa. I felt very well supported in all steps of the process.
