Starting in 2013, we will be managing emails with Microsoft's cloud-based Office365 service.

This service requires a one-time registration, containing the following information:first name, last name, and a user account in the form of h<student-ID>@s.wu.ac.at.

Two email addresses will be generated at registration:

• Email1: firstname.lastname@s.wu.ac.at

• Email2: h<student-ID>@s.wu.ac.at

A further WU email address will also be generated:

• Email3: h<student-ID>@wu.ac.at

Any emails sent to this address will be automatically forwarded to email1.

During registration, NO passwords are provided to the cloud service. It is up to the individual user to provide any further personal data, e.g. telephone number or address. Providing further data is optional. Registration data will be saved by the cloud service provider. Aside from that, only data that has beenprovided voluntarily or automatically will be saved and processed by WU or the cloud service provider. Data transmitted by your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.) during the use of the site is saved automatically in our log files and by the cloud service provider. This means that your IP address is recognized and a cookie will be saved on your computer. You can adjust the settings of your browser to prevent cookies being saved on your computer, but please remember that if you do, you may not be able to use the complete range of features available on our website.

In using this website, you are agreeing to the processing of the data you have provided as described above and for the purposes stated above. You have the right to view your personal data and the right to correct any erroneous information. You also have the right to rescind this agreement at any time for future use. If you do not want your data saved or choose to rescind your agreement at a later time, you have the option of manually setting your email account to immediately forward all mails to another address, bypassing the cloud service and preventing your data from being stored.
