Biographie

I am an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Information Systems and Society at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. I hold a PhD in information systems from the University of Potsdam. Before joining WU, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society, Berlin, Germany.

I am an information systems researcher focused on understanding how digital technology use impacts individual and societal well-being. My work has centered around how social media affects users‘ self-esteem, body image and their perceptions of social reality. I also explore how people can use social media in a way that fosters their mental health. For my research I use survey experiments, large-scale data analysis and intensive longitudinal studies.
