This month, Isabella Grabner and her colleagues Alexander Brüggen of Maastricht University and Karen Sedatole of Emory University Goizueta Business School have published an article in Strategic Finance about their research on demand forecasting in organizational planning, which was funded by the Institute of Management Accountants. In this article, authors elaborate on their study, which was recently published in The Accounting Review (see “The Folly of Forecasting: The Effects of a Disaggregated Demand Forecasting System,” The Accounting Review 96(2): 127–152).
