Zur Person

Klaus Prettner ist Professor für Makroökonomie und Digitalisierung am Department of Economics der WU. Er beschäftigt sich schwerpunktmäßig mit den Auswirkungen der Automatisierung auf Wachstum und Ungleichheit, den wirtschaftlichen Effekten des demographischen Wandels und den Determinanten langfristigen Wirtschaftswachstums. Klaus Prettner hat in Journalen wie dem Journal of Monetary Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Literature, European Economic Review, Journal of Economic Growth, Journal of Health Economics und Research Policy veröffentlicht. Gemeinsam mit David E. Bloom verfasste er das Lehrbuch “Automation and Its Macroeconomic Consequences: Theory, Evidence, and Social Impacts”, welches 2020 bei Academic Press veröffentlicht wurde.
